The Opportunity
This is a senior-level, cross-functional role responsible for owning the Onboarded for Salesforce product. You’ll be the primary architect, product owner, and strategic driver of this solution. You’ll also engage directly with customers and partners to shape the roadmap, leverage Salesforce AI innovations, and lead the evolution of our managed package—without needing to build a large team from day one.
This role is ideal for a seasoned Salesforce developer turned architect or technical PM who’s ready to own and scale a product. Bonus points if you have experience in the HRTech or staffing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Strategy Ownership
- Own the Salesforce product vision and roadmap, ensuring it aligns with Onboarded’s core platform and customer needs.
- Work directly with customers and partners to capture feedback, co-design solutions, and shape product direction.
- Stay ahead of Salesforce’s roadmap and evolving technologies, especially around AI (Einstein, Prompt Builder, Copilot, etc.).
Salesforce Architecture & Development
- Serve as the technical lead for our Salesforce managed package, including new development, maintenance, and optimization.
- Ensure scalability, security, and integration readiness across all builds.
- Develop or oversee custom objects, LWC, Apex code, workflows, and third-party app integrations.
- Collaborate closely with Onboarded’s core product engineering team to ensure architectural cohesion.
Solution Design & Partner Enablement
- Act as a solution consultant to our Salesforce customers and partners, helping tailor Onboarded’s solution to their Salesforce orgs and customizations.
- Document best practices and reusable design patterns to support implementations at scale.
AI-Forward Development
- Prototype and deploy intelligent workflows using Salesforce AI tools and external models where appropriate.
- Build out automation layers that reduce manual administrative effort for customers and internal support.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience; started as a Salesforce developer and grew into architecture or product leadership.
- Deep proficiency with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL, Flows, and standard Salesforce clouds.
- Experience working with (or developing) ISV managed packages.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer feedback and use cases into roadmap and product requirements.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce integration patterns (REST/SOAP, middleware, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills—confident working directly with customers, partners, and execs.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in HRTech, staffing, or onboarding-related domains.
- Prior ownership of a Salesforce AppExchange product or similar embedded app.
- Exposure to or experimentation with Salesforce AI tools or other AI/LLM platforms.
- Salesforce Architect certification(s).
