We’re backed by top investors and growing fast. Now we’re hiring an Integrations Engineer to own how Onboarded connects with the ecosystem of HR services that power background checks, drug screening, identity verification, and credentialing.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the engineer driving how Onboarded connects with partners and services—building seamless, reliable integrations that power mission-critical onboarding flows. Specifically, you will:

  • Design and build partner integrations: Develop and maintain APIs, webhooks, and SDKs that connect Onboarded to background check providers, drug screening services, identity verification platforms, and credentialing systems.
  • Architect scalable integration frameworks: Build reusable patterns, adapters, and middleware that allow us to integrate faster with new HR services.
  • Ensure compliance and security: Handle sensitive PII and compliance data with robust encryption, monitoring, and auditing practices.
  • Work with partners and customers: Collaborate directly with technical teams at partner companies to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and launch integrations.
  • Automate workflows: Implement flows that orchestrate multi-step processes like background check adjudication or credential validation with fallbacks and error handling.
  • Contribute to core APIs: Extend Onboarded’s API-first platform so that customers and partners can seamlessly adopt integrations.
  • Document and support integrations: Build clear API docs, sample apps, and internal tooling to make integrations easy to use and maintain.

What We’re Looking For

  • You’ve built and maintained production-grade integrations with external APIs.
  • You’re comfortable working with REST, GraphQL, and webhook-based systems.
  • You’ve worked with HR, compliance, or fintech data integrations—or you’re eager to learn the nuances of regulated data.
  • You have experience designing fault-tolerant, scalable API-driven systems.
  • You thrive in ambiguous startup environments, balancing speed and quality.
  • You write clean, maintainable code (we’re heavy on TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres).
  • You enjoy working with partners and customers as much as you enjoy coding.
  • Bonus: you’ve integrated with background check, ID verification, or credentialing providers before.
